Ecstatic Dance Portland: DJ ANIMYSTIC

We will start at 7pm with a Water Communing Ritual led by Vesper Luna (@vesper_soulmidwife). Vesper Andes (they/them) is a Board-Certified Clinical Chaplain, Death Midwife, Ritual Facilitator, and Priestess. Their passions in spiritual care include mental and behavioral health, trauma-informed care, end-of-life and grief work, and creating interpersonal spiritual containers for deep healing and building relationships with land, community, and ancestors. This workshop offering will be a short water communing ritual; where participants will have an opportunity to connect deeply with themselves, each other, and the water that makes up all living things.

We will then dance to the sounds of DJ Animystic (@djanimystic) (https://soundcloud.com/animysticmusic) Animystic was born from the belief that there is an unseen mystical force that moves through all things and animates them, and music and dance are a powerful way to tap into that force and make it manifest through movement and sound. Based out of Eugene, Oregon, Terry Phillips brings his special flavor of exotic and soulful live electric guitar mixed with funky bass, tribal rhythms, mystical sounds and electrifying beats!  He mixes up a magical blend of organic and electronic sounds that range from fun and whimsical to dark and mystical, and slow and sultry to fast and fierce, sending dance floors into ecstatic bliss!

The evening will close with a Sound Healing from Dana Hersh (@danahersh.intuitive). Sound is the essence of life; the vibration behind everything in existence. When we are in the presence of high-vibrational sound, we are reminded of our own sacred existence. Our nervous system is soothed and regulated, our heart is opened, and our body is given an opportunity to realign at a cellular level. In a sound bath from Dana you will receive subtle healing frequencies from the gong, crystal bowls, harmonium, flute, chimes, and voice as Dana intuitively works with the available energy to help shift energetic blocks and create an experience of resonance and restoration.
